SS: Al'i Aurora Aboard the TFS Uictoria Part 2

Al’i pinned a picture of her parents up in her new quarters. This has all been so fast, she thought. How did I even get here? I’ve never even left Munera before. In a matter of a week, Al’i Aurora had graduated from her continentia, been recruited to the Service Guard of the Muneric, and then been informed by the Muneric himself that she would be transferred to a Tiur fleet ship. Not just any TFS, the TFS Uictoria under Commander Blaze.

She finished unpacking her things and sat on her bed. She slide her right hand in the front flaps of her shirt, pulled a device out from a pocket, and looked it over. The device was a small communication portal. The Muneric gave it to her before she left with specific instructions, report back in secret. A direct link to the Muneric Offices… What am I supposed to even report back about?

Her train of thought was interrupted by a knock at the door. She quickly put the device back, “Come in.”

Commander Blaze entered. “Settled in?”

Al’i stood. “Yes commander. May I ask what’s next?”

“We are just about to drop off some Tiur researchers in Minoci and then we will head to an unmapped region in space. There’s been pickup of a signal but with heavy inference in our laser communication system coming outside the Dunamis System. Going to see what is it,” Blaze said.

“And what’s your plan for me?” she asked.

“That depends on what you show me you can do,” Blaze replied. With that, Commander Blaze left Al’i to finish settling in.

What am I doing here? Al’i took the picture of her parents. The picture frosted over and Al’I dropped it. It had been a long time since she had lost even the slightest control over her emotional state. She looked at her hands, which were completely blue for a couple seconds before going back to her normal state of a constant morph between purple and blue. She picked up the photo and tacked it back on the wall. Get yourself together, you can handle anything.

She pulled the device back out of her shirt compartment. Turned it on and hit record. “Heading off to unknown region. Some signal with communication interference in area. Will report more when information is known.” She clicked send. I don’t always have to keep the Muneric informed on everything. Just give him enough occasionally.

She peeked her head out into the hallway. It’s so empty, where is everyone? Well maybe I best get some rest then.

SS: Al'i Aurora Aboard the TFS Uictoria Part 1

Commander Blaze stepped off his shuttle after arriving at the capitol building in Munera. He was about as fierce as a Tiur could be, being only a foot and a half tall and covered in fur. His auburn color looked darker in the Thamva light, giving a seemingly radiant glow to his white streak on the middle of his face that ended on his nose. A Thavmain shortly greeted him.

“Commander Blaze,” she said as she extended her hand, “Service Guard Al’i Aurora. Muneric Demosthenes will be with you shortly. He is just finishing up with the representatives. Right this way.”

As Al’i led Blaze to the Muneric office, Blaze noticed constant flickering between purple and blue along her skin, a trait belonging to the Thavmain race Boreaian when in fear, giving them the ability to freeze anything they touch. A Boreaian, he thought, she can’t be fearful of me can she?

“Am I that ferocious looking?” Blaze puffed out his chest, while Al’i gave a puzzled look in his direction. “Your skin, it’s changing,” Blaze added.

“Ah no,” Al’i said, “just precisely tuned emotionally. The Service Guard recruited me right out of the continentia for it. It makes sense. I mean, I do guard the Muneric. People think twice when they see it.” She opened a door and said, “The Muneric will be right in, can I get you anything in the meantime?”

“No thanks,” Blaze said as he entered. Interesting, learn something new every day, he thought before turning his mind at the task at hand.

Before long, Muneric Ethe Demosthenes entered. “Commander, good to see you again. Shall we get down to business?” Blaze nodded and sat as Demosthenes continued, “The representatives agree that a Tiur/Thavmain joint research facility would be highly beneficial. We’d like it to be here on Thavma. We already have space in the city of Minoci ready to go.”
The Tiur were prepared for this. Muneric Demosthenes was well known in trying to negotiate anything and everything. Truth be told, the Tiur did not care where the lab was. In fact, they had a team of researchers on his ship already.

Before Blaze could agree, Demosthenes continued, “We’d also like a Thavmain to join the Tiur fleet. We have a Favonian very capable.”

Blaze was taken aback, but collected himself. His instinct was to decline, as it seemed like a ploy for to have agreement to move the facility location to Thavma. Last thing I need. An invisible Thamvain snooping around. Another thought crossed his mind and he surprised himself when he answered, “my choice.”

Never one to be unprepared, yet secretly surprised, the Muneric pushed further, “We just want to make sure you have the best Thavmain available to your needs. That could take time to decide, as you interview…”

Blaze stepped in, “Aurora, your service guard.”

“We are not sending a Thavma out to be a private stuck in the Tiur system. She’s hardly trained, no diplomatic skills, just graduated from a continentia last week! We have highly skilled people more useful that eventually can come back to help Thavma in what they’ve learned,” Demosthenes said before Blaze answered.

“She’ll be in my crew on the TFS Uictoria.”

Demosthenes did not hesitate and agreed immediately, half in disbelief that he got someone on Commander Blaze’s ship, “We will have her meet you on your ship.”

“Excellent,” Blaze said as he stood, “we will drop off our research team in Minoci before we leave.”

The two shook hands and Blaze exited. He eyed up Al’i once more as he passed her, while Demosthenes motioned her to enter. This should be interesting.

Dunamis System

The Dunamis System contains two separate civilization that were initially unaware of each other, as neither had space travel capabilities until the Tiur arrived in their hunt for minerals. The system has two planets, Dunamis Major and Dunamis Minor. Dunamis Major is the larger of the two planets and contains the Tiur named species Gia. Dunamis Minor contains the Panths.

Gia

The Gia are nymph like creatures, fairly large in statue. They are considered one with the earth, meaning they can create and control it. There are two races of Gia, erb (forest loving) and aq (water loving). All Gia go by these two names, erb and aq, depending on their race. This makes it difficult for other species in conversation to discern who one is talking about.

The Gia solved Tiur mineral problem, as they help provide for Tiur. Being "one with the earth," some Gia offered to move to the planet of Shudra in the Tiur System, in order to keep the planet from becoming barren. The Gia had very little technology, only due to the lack of necessity for any.

The Gia have a monarchy system in place, currently ruled by Queen Erb.

The Panths

Very little is known about the Panths. What intel is known is from Tiur fly-overs. The Panths appear to be a young civilization, making them less technologically advanced. It does not seem to be from a lack of intellect, however. The Panths fight with spears. They have a warmonger mentality and a conquering desire, believed to be from the young age of the species.

The Tiur did once visit their planet to with technology as a welcome peace offering (armor they so  could fight with spears against more tech savy weapons). The Tiur lost communication with the landing party. It appears the Panths raided the party and took the ship.

Currently, the Gia are worried about the possibility of an eventual invasion of the Panths.

New Species: Tiur

System Overview

The Tiur (pronounced like tour) live in the Tiur system which consists of four planets: Neth, Ohma, Metus, and Shudra. Neth, Ohma, and Metus are essentially one large city like planet. Neth, considered the capitol planet, has two moons, which are also populated. The Tiur use Shudra for resources. A species from another planet system, called Gia, also live in abundance on Shudra, which we will discuss at another time.

Tiur

Tiur are very small, furry (colors vary) creatures. Typically, they will range in height from 1 to 2 feet. They are a highly intelligent species and very technologically advanced. They were the first to travel through space to find other intelligent beings and are heavily involved in trade throughout the universe. Unlike most creatures, Tiur only go by a single name.

Tiur Technology

Much of the spacecraft technology comes from the Tiur, although it is usually modified by other species. Consist throughout the universe are the Tiur telecom system enabling planetary system to system communication. This system is a laser based system that allows communication between set locations. This allows ships to check into planet bases without issue, but issues can arise vice versa. The Tiur also manufactured time jump stations in certain locations. These stations create "holes" that allow ships to travel rapidly from station to station.

Government

The Tiur built a space station that between the planets of Neth and Ohma, which acts as a government and military base. The space station, known as the Coesi, is about the size of a small moon. Each Tiur planet and moon has "Elected" which make laws for the Tiur across the universe. Each planet has this same system in place to govern itself on smaller issues. The Tiur, as a whole, then vote to elect a Prime Tiur to run the Elected (5 year terms). The current Prime Tiur is Liam, who has held the position for 11 years. The Tiur believe that a galaxy wide controlled station should be built to house a similar system for everyone in Alucinatio Mentis.

Military

The Tiur currently have the largest known space fleet in the galaxy. Tiur space crafts are all labeled TFS. The most notable active military personal is Commander Blaze of the TFS Uictoria.

Short Story: Sca Penumi meets the Mevoi

How did it come to this?, thought Sca as he landed on the outskirts of Mevoi Raa, and of course, there’s already a welcome party.

The welcome was not warm. “What do you think you are doing here?” grunted the Menoetian in front, who was already morphed red with an orb in his hand. Sca gulped and softly said, “I’m here to join Mevoi.” There was laughter among the group of Menoetian rebel scouts. “Take him to Ephialti,” the Menoetain who spoke earlier said. “Are you seri…” quipped another before he was cut off. “Take him to Ephialti.” repeated the leader.

As Sca was marched into Mevoi Raa, all he could think was, what was I thinking? Mevoi? They will kill me for sure once they find out! The rebel group led Sca to the walled section of the rebel outpost. Once inside the walls, they went straight to a large stone building.

“Stay here!” The Menoetain scout leader said as he left the group and went through a door. He returned and said, “Bring him.” It was large room, but all Sca could look at was a man on the other end of it. Ajan Ephialti himself. Ephialti was a dark purple, darker than any Thavmain Sca had ever seen. He had blue eyes and had a formidable build.

“What is your name fellow Menoetian?” he spoke in a deep voice. Silence. Sca could not find the words. “Speak!” Ephialti shouted. Sca nervously looked around and said, “Sca Penumi. But I’m not a Menoetian, I’m a Favonian…”

Sca summoned what little sadness there was in the air and he flickered for a few seconds to a ghost like appearance. The room was silent. Sca looked around and to his dismay, every Menoetain was glowing flame red. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

“What is a Favonian doing on Yuvos, much less Mevoi Raa?” Ephialti asked. Sca looked back at Ephialti who was still dark purple. He breathed a sigh of relief and said, “I ran into some trouble on Thavma, and I want to join Mevoi.”

A Menoetian on Ephialti’s right spoke up, “Sir, this is Ethe Demosthenes! It’s just like him to send a Favonian to spy on us. As the old saying goes, ‘taken and stolen, by a Favonian!’ That will be us!”

“The Muneric is not that smart. There are reports of Favonians supporting our cause.” Ephialti replied before turning back to Sca. “What trouble? And how did you get here?”

“In the city of Minoci, there was a break in at a research facility. I was nearby at the time and being a Favonian…you do the math. The search for me seemed like an ask questions later kind of hunt. Out of options, I snuck on a trade vesicle and launched a pod as it passed Yuvos.” Sca said as he gained more confidence. Ephialti was silent a moment before saying, “Stensi.”

The Menoetian who brought Sca in stepped forward. He was back to his purple appearance. “Yes sir?”

“The Favonian is under your command until we find a suitable way to test him and a better use of his skills.”

Sca followed Stensi out of the room. As Sca was exiting the building, he thanked the gods inside him.

“I’m Kor Stensi, red scout squad. Any funny business, you’re dead boy,” Stensi said firmly. “Now first things first, you’ll meet the rest of red scout. Then, back on patrol.”

Sca was silent. Here goes nothing he thought as he looked back at the stone building, contemplating his future in Mevoi.
